The lyrics were incredibly moving and represented the feelings of the public towards the Vietnam War. Bob Dylan was using music to impact society and prompting societal change in artistic expression. It can even be applied to today’s hostile times in politics, and has impacted people through the meaning and sentiment of the lyrics.
