Muhammad Ali was a professional boxer who held the Heavyweight boxing title for two different reigns, those being separated by an exile from boxing. More importantly, he was an activist and a philanthropist with his activism being the indirect cause for his exile from boxing. He was one of the key figures in the Civil Rights Era, belonging to the Nation of Islam donated huge sums of money toward that cause and those in need.
