The Edelweiss Pirates were loosely organized resistance youth group in Nazi Germany. They emerged in the late 1930s as a response to the Hitler Youth, the youth organization of the Nazi Party. Throughout the war, they resisted and opposed the values of Nazi Germany, helped Allied troops and German deserters, and engaged in the violent antagonizing of Nazi officers.
