During World War II, many small groups of people resisted the changes that Hitler was making in Germany. One group of college students and a professor in particular, became known as the "White Rose" and secretly created and distributed six leaflets shedding light to what the Nazis were doing and advocating against it. The group was caught and arrested before they were able to link up with other resistance groups.
