Sarah Tarleton Colvin was a nurse, self- described rebel and leader in the National Women’s Party (NWP) serving as the Chair of the Minnesota branch fighting for women’s suffrage. She was arrested twice during the watch fire demonstrations in Washington DC and jailed for 10 days where she joined the hunger strikes. Later, she traveled with the Prison Special train tour spreading the message of what jail had been like for the Suffragists.
