A distinguished photographer educated in New York, known for her capturing of the Great Depression Era, Dorothea Lange was a woman who was active in a field that was dominated by men. She is remembered for the impactful photos she provided for the Farming Security Administration, most well-known for her photograph titled “Migrant Mother.” As a result of Dorothea Lange’s photographs, the devastating repercussions of the Great Depression era was humanized.
